Kindness to our Southern Friends Affected by the Floods.
Venerable Luang Por Phosri-Suriya Khemarato, his followers, and Rombodhidharma International Temple Foundation donated 10,000 aid bags worth 5,542,400 Thai Baht and 600,000 Baht of cash donations to support those affected by the floods in the southern region of Thailand. The donations were sent through the governor of Loei pvrovince, and then passed on to the 28th Army Circle to be sent to the south. The event was witnessed and honoured by the Commander of the 28th Army Circle, the Commander of Loei Provincial Police, the Nonghin District-Chief Officer, the Superintendent of Nonghin Police Station, the Principal of Nonghin Wittayacom School, and Government Officers.
In preparation for this event, the temple crew: monks, nuns, and lay people, together with Nonghin District Government Officers, Nonghin Policemen, students from Nonghin High School, and other volunteers cooperated hand in hand to prepare the 10,000 aid bags which consisted of basic survival goods, including 2 million Baht worth of medicines, 50,000 kilograms of jasmine rice, bottled drinking water, lighters, and other consumable goods for sending to those in need of support.
